Maxfort School Rohini  strongly upholds the vision of a peaceful world supporting peace for all. Adhering to the same a special assembly was organized by Class IX to celebrate the International Peace Day on Thursday, 21 September 2017 in the school premises. It was an ISA-British Council Activity wherein the students researched about the possible solutions to maintain peace. Each year the International Peace Day is observed around the world on 21 September. The UN General Assembly has declared this as a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, both within and among all nations and people. The Chief- Guest for the event was Sadhvi Pragya Bharti, a preacher with Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan and also Director , SAM-Youth Empowerment of the organization. The peaceful day began with a thoughtful prayer invoking the Almighty to give us strength for always choosing the righteous path. It was followed by creative and skillful presentations of theatre, music and dance, all reiterating the motto that “wars are wasteful”.  Our respected Principal ma’am Dr Ratna Chakravarty in her words of wisdom applauded the efforts of the students. She also emphasized on the importance of maintaining world peace.  At the end, the students and the facilitators pledged to reinforce the dream of a peaceful world. The event ended with the rendition of the National Anthem. To make the day more meaningful, the students were also shown the documentary movie, “A Day After Peace” that highlighted the true meaning of peace.  It was truly a motivating day that inspired everyone to pervade peace for a happy and contended living.
