The Guru shishya system of ancient times reminds us of the unique place of a teacher in the society. It is her dedication, strong sense of commitment and discipline, which distinguishes her form any other professional. To acknowledge the teacher’s contribution and to celebrate the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, Maxfort School Rohini celebrated Teacher’s Day with great zeal and zest.

The day was celebrated throughout in different ways by all the sections of the school. In the morning Class XI presented a heartfelt assembly where students made connection with the teachers in the form of Dance, music and skit. Respected Principal ma’am and all the facilitators were elated by their performance. She also felicitated Ms. Alpa Sharma (PGT Psychology), Mr. Brij Arora and Mr. Satender Pal (PGT- Physical Education) for giving cent per cent result of grade XII in session 2016-17.

Following the day Studentsof grade I and V also got the opportunity to present the morning assembly on the same occasion. All the teachers were felicitated, with immense affection and respect, with flower bouquets as token of love from the students. Our budding stars shared the contribution of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and our legendary Gurus and everyone saluted in gratitude towards them.

The students of class XII took over the responsibilities and preformed their duties well. The celebration commenced with ceremonial lamp lighting. Respected Principal ma’am Dr. Ratna Chakravarty addressed the teachers and reminded them of their imperative role in the student’s development. A token of reverence and gratitude was given to Maxfort School by the school Headboy in the form of plant that will grow with students even after they leave the school. Principal ma’am, Headmistress ma’am, members of the resource team Ms. Garima and Ms.Smridhiand all the worthy facilitators were felicitated with appreciation.

Teachers thoroughly enjoyed the special cultural programme arranged for them where they showcased their enthralling performance in skit, dance and music. Everyone was moved by the gesture of students and captured the memories of the sparkling day in their hearts.
